Recently, my ionic screen stopped responding to touch and started flashing weird colors across the screen. After this, the screen went black and has been completely unresponsive since. I have spoken to customer support and tried to restart it several times with no luck. It sounds like it is broken and the only option I have been given is a discounted product since I have had it for a little over a year. I'm very disappointed because it was working perfectly until this happened, and I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. Got the ionic for Christmas in 2018. Last week the gps went crazy, had a track run recorded as running from the middle of the Pacific Ocean to NZ. Yesterday it stopped working I tried to charge it but it isn’t charging. Can’t factory reset as it is completely dead. Out of warranty but I expected to get more than 18 months out of it.

I have had my Ionic since Feb 2018 so 2 1/2 years now. Today the screen went blank. Tried all sorts of tricks as suggested in this thread. Not working.
For a $300 watch (Indian Rupees) equivalent, I am very disappointed.
Have always had issues with Fibit products, Charge HR strap came off, got watch replaced by Fitbit, Charge 2 strap came off, got that replaced by Fitbit - luckily was under warranty. And now this.
Do not really know whether to stick with Fitbit or not. Have been part of the eco system since 2015, love the data and analysis part but now questioning product durability. Oh yes, the Ionic strap also gave way, luckily had the smaller strap...
Any suggestions to stay or move from this ecosystem?

OK, my Ionic went dead again, after the battery discharged completely on a run. I tried to charge, still just a blank screen. Pushed main (left) button, still dead. So I came back to this site and read what I had done last time to get my Ionic working. I followed the instructions...and bingo, they worked again. So I can say definitively...this solution I wrote previously DOES work for some Ionics (well, at least one, mine!) Good luck!

My Fitbit strap also broke, I had just replaced it when the watch died.

I did hold all three buttons until the logo appeared and then released all three buttons. After 30 seconds or so the logo disappeared and then it started working properly about 30 seconds later

Thanks pabloshep for your post, your instructions worked for my Ionic, when I saw the Fitbit Logo I was shocked too. I did this on 4/14/2021
