Ionic showing data not cleared

I am trying to Factory Reset my Fitbit Ionic, the screen now says "Data not cleared Sync & Try again" with  a big Red X.  I have tried syncing, I have removed the ionic from my account.  It will not let me reset the ionic.  Please help
