Ionic showing incorrect heart rate, distance

Hi

I had a hockey match last night and my Fitbit ionic tracked all my movement on the map (squiggly lines everywhere) but then shows that for over an hour I've only moved 0.01km and so hasn't tracked heart rate or pace either...I'd upload an image of possible.  I already had to restart my watch a month ago due to errors.  These watches don't seem to have much stamina as this is my second Fitbit device in so many years.

@halfunconscious A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.

I appreciate the detailed information shared, I see where your comments are coming from.

Since your distance wasn't correct please try the following tips:

  • Confirm that the exercise type uses built-in GPS. For more information, see How do I start a workout with GPS on my Fitbit device?
  • Make sure that you have a clear view of the sky when you start the exercise. Environmental factors, including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and thick cloud cover, can interfere with your device’s ability to connect to GPS satellites. If the signal is blocked—either because you're indoors, underground, or due to another reason—GPS won't work.

  • Check that GPS is turned on for the exercise. For more information, see How do I turn on GPS for an exercise on my Fitbit device?
  • Make sure that your Ionic is charged to at least 80%.
  • Avoid trying to start an exercise with GPS several times in a row, which can prevent your device from connecting to GPS

Once you've double check this information please try again and let me know the results.

Also please ensure that your Ionic is properly placed in your wrist while you're in the hockey match, check the instructions on this article

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
