Ionic showing less calorie burn

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I keep track of the calories burned during all my exercises to compare how they may change over the days or just to compete with myself. I do Insanity (this is how I know it's been starting to be wonky) and Orange Theory (this is how I know its WAY off). My insanity workouts have been decreasing by 50-100 cal burned on the same workouts and now, it's off by 400 cal when I do OTF. I've already reset the watch, deleted and redownload the app, but it's still doing the same thing. The reason I like (and have been a loyal customer since the original fitbit) my Ionic is because its suppose to be up-to-date with the latest technology. I've had this for less than a year so that should've be the case. Someone please help! TIA

By any chance do you feel that your getting healthier and in better shape?

I don't see anything mentioned about the timeline with the calories decreasing.

Is this period over a week or a year?

As your heart and body get stronger and more efficient it will need less fuel to do the same task.

This decrease is in a matter of a month. I know the fitbit is registering wrong because the HR monitor I wear for OTF registered 618 cal while my fitbit only read 291. That is a significant difference. And like I said, it has decreased on same workouts by 50-100 cal. I'm already a fit person and have only tweaked my exercises slightly. I've lost 4lbs but gained muscle. Muscle burns more calories than fat. There is something wrong with my Ionic and hopefully someone may know what I can do to fix it before I call customer service.
