My ionic has a message saying unlock with your phone. I know the original pin that I put in but the device has disappeared from the app on my phone so I cannot get on to the settings to change this. Is there a way to force factory reset when I cannot access anything on the Fitbit itsef or anything relating to the Fitbit on my phone.

I managed to fix mine by hard resetting it to factory settings. Hold down all 3 buttons for about 10 seconds and as soon as the Fitbit logo shows release the bottom right button but continue to hold the other 2 until the screen goes black. Leave it a few minutes and it comes back on to the setup page. It means you loose any data and have to set the device up from scratch though!

This is exactly the same problem i have.. I removed my device from my account and thought i would reset it...
however now i cant even add in my account without the pin..
stuck with it...

I started having the problem yesterday. I've tried the solution until I'm blue in the face.
It does not reset! Sounds like a software fix is in order, RIGHT AWAY!!!
Fitbit is supposed to be the best and the Ionic is supposed to be the top of the line.
Why can't I talk to someone. Right now all I have is a watch face. I depend on the watch to help me with my health and be a convenience, not to be a door stop!
I should have stayed with Polar.

I tried 2-3 times too before i could get it right... Please do it exactly as instructed it works ....

Actually, I had done it before I got the email. Another website said to first uninstall the app. That made it work.

I'm not happy about having to lose all my settings, though. There were some apps I used almost daily that are no longer listed. I guess I can get by with it; I just don't like having to "get by" or living with buggy software being forced on anyone.
I'll use the watch until I can't stand it, then toss it. I won't be buying another Fitbit.
