2 of the last 3 nights my Ionic shuts down while I am sleeping. It stops collecting data so my sleep info shows only 2 or 3 hours. It had also been difficult to sync when not on a Wi-Fi network

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, seems odd that your device is turning off at night. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then? This only occurs at night or during the day as well? For the shutdown issue, please try a restart process and let me know if the issue persists.
In regards the syncing difficulties, can you please let me know which mobile device are you using? When you try to sync your Ionic with mobile data, it takes longer or doesn't sync at all? I recommend you to check how the syncing procedure works here and see if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the syncing procedure to be completed.
