My Ionic was working fine tracking my walks until the new update. Now I start the walk and it finds GPS and I start walking. It has been going back to the watchface before I'm done walking. It's done this multiple times and it's beginning to really piss me off. I bought this watch to track my steps and exercise. It to pay my bills and all that garbage. I need a fitness tracker. If this doesn't get fixed real soon I'll find a watch that works. Before the update the syncing sucked bad. Now it's good. Fix one thing and break another. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy 8+. It's all updated. I've reset the watch more times than I want to. This is a problem internal with the watch OS. Any suggestions other than the obvious??

I’m afraid not. It’s not a problem with the OS, since nobody else has reported this problem. When you mention a reset, do you mean factory resets or soft resets/restarts?

Have you tried a factory reset?

Go into the Fitbit Ionic's settings--scroll down to About--then scroll down to factory reset. What you did was a restart.

I have tried everything under the sun and this watch keep ending my walk early and going to the clock face. I'm using Map my Walk now and it works better than this watch. It really sucks because I like the watch in every other way. Any other suggestions? I'll be looking at a Samsung S3 this week. Unfortunately it won't track swimming. I find it ridiculous that I can pay over 300 dollars and have to be screwing around with the tracking on a fitbit at this point. I'd think they would have the fitness tracking down by now. My advise, make a real fitness tracking watch that is waterproof, and tracks without all the bull**ahem**. I'm really unhappy. It takes up way to much of my time. It's not my job to be a test subject for fitbit OS. Maybe they should get that done ahead of releasing the watch, but since they have the Versa out already I see the priority to to keep putting out new products rather than making sure they function properly to start. Not everyone has 300 dollars to be throwing around on a fitness tracker, and when they do they expect it to work.
