Ionic steps and calories are increasing without any movement

I have the fitbit Ionic and since few weeks its behaving strange after the firmware upgrade.
The battery backup lasts for 10-15 min.
The device was working perfectly before the upgrade.

To isolate the battery issue, I have tried factory reset.
Reconfigured the device on my iphone and android device as well.

The main issue is that, the steps and calories are increasing without any movement after the sync.

The current firmware is 27.72.1.15
