Ionic still counting steps when not wearing

I have reset my ionic 3 times this morning because i woke up to 2875 steps after not wearing it last night. 

I am not able to find how to just reset the steps to zero which would take care of the issue. It counts correctly during the day and I love it, but this extra step thing is really starting to be an issue. 

Is this an update issue or a hardware issue and what can I do to fix it?

Hi, @Hmmf, when you are not wearing it are you leaving your Ionic near a vibration source -- even resting on top of a computer CPU (for example while charging) could create enough vibration to cause it to count false steps.  Placing it near a fan, or on top of a tumble dryer, could lead to manu thousands of steps.

 

One solution might be to turn it off when you aren't wearing it.

 

If you can tell from your graphs the hours when the false steps came in you can delete them by logging driving.  Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and search for, and find, the built in driving activity, because if you create a custom activity it will not work.
