Ionic still not tracking my exercise, 3rd time to post but no answers.

This is unfortunately not the first time I have posted about this issue, but there is still no resolution.

I always do the same workout on the treadmill. Mostly when I select treadmill on the exercise mode it says I’m going at about 3km/hr when the speed on the treadmill is 6km/hr.
Usually when I don’t select an exercise mode and it just tracks it on its own it seems to track at about the correct speed (6Km/hr).
Occasionally at the moment though it has not been tracking at all and I can feel it do a little vibrate like it has reset itself and not tracked any activity whilst on the treadmill. I find this very frustrating. Eg this morning after doing 30 minutes on the treadmill at 6km/hr then walking around the house getting my children breakfast etc it said I had done 517 steps.

My Ionic is not tracking my steps, especially when I go on the treadmill:

These are exactly the same program on the treadmill. The one with fewer steps is when I select “treadmill” in the exercise section. The other is when the Fitbit just tracks the exercise on its own. It is now not even tracking anything on its own when I’m on the treadmill. The last 2 times it has tracked about 200 steps and no “activity” for the 3km program. This morning it tracked more steps for me walking to the shower and back then when I went on the treadmill for half an hour and walked 3kms. The only thing the Fitbit seems to track well is my sleep.

There is no point in having a Fitbit if it won’t track steps.

This is obviously seriously wrong. How do I fix my Fitbit?

Where do you see a pace of 6km/hr on the right-hand auto-tracked image?

If you are holding a hand rail or handle on the treadmill with your fitbit hand, steps might not get recognized because the tracker cannot see any motion if it is held firmly still.

If that is an issue, you can probably get a good step count by putting it in a pocket, at the expense of heart rate data during that time.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

I’m not holding onto the rails, my arms are moving like they normally would on a brisk walk.
The treadmill speed is set to 6km/hr.
