Ionic stopped syncing - Removed from app now won't add the Ionic to app at all.

My Ionic stopped syncing on Tuesday of this week, I tried everything to get it to sync including restarting the ionic, restarting the app, removing all bluetooth devices from my phone, turning bluetooth off and on, after looking on community for advice i removed the Ionic from the fitbit app and now it wont reconnect, it goes as far as putting the 4 digit code in and then says sorry the set up is taking longer than usual. Please be patient. We are on it! then it goes to a Not Working page and gives advice of what to try, I have tried all of the things several times and it still isn't working.

Generally when a Fitbit is not communicating with the Fitbit app, telling Fitbit that you do not want to use the tracker simply adds more problems. We still have to fix the sync problem.

Have you removed the ionic from the phones bluetooth. Restarted the phone and tracker?

Checked for Fitbit updates?

Shutdown both the phone and ionic?

If android cleared the phones cache?

HI the only thing i have not done is clear the cache, I have now done that but it still will not add the Ionic onto the app.

I assume that you are on an android device.

Kill the app through phone settings, swiping off the screen is not enough.

Try logging out. If you know how to log in or delete the app data.

If that doesn't work. Remove the Fitbit app, restart phone, install fresh copy.

Unfortunately none of these ideas have worked.

Force swiping off the screen does not shut the notification services.

Have you shut down both the ionic and the phone.

I have to leave for work. Will check in later.

I didn't force shutdown by swiping off screen, went in to app and forced the shutdown from there, also cleared data and cache before uninstalling the app and yes I have shutdown and restarted both phone between and Ionic several times between trying all of the different things. Thanks for the advice though.
