Started running, I had an 18 mile run, and then in the middle of it my Ionic dropped out.
It went back to the home screen, and oddly automatically reconnected to the blue head set.
I lost the continuity of my run, partial record of the run.
Software updated.
Is there a reason for this? Any trends here?

You're not alone. I have the same issues sometimes. The problem is that it is intermittent 😞

The first time it happened I thought it was me.
But then when it hallebha suddenly our of the blue I knew there was an issue.
I actually think this watch for the price is way better than any other option.
But stability and reliability are the most important factors for this type of investment.
I have been using Garmin watches for years
I want: continuous heart rate monitor, music and payment.
This watch made it... except for the known crashes.
I am very dissatisfied with how it's being handled.
I am surprised there isn't a recall or bulletin.
