Ionic stopped working after a factory reset

I was going to transfer my Ionic to my wife yesterday, so I attempted a factory reset.  The unit did everything it was supposed to as far as shutting down, but once the reset was complete the Ionic will not charge or turn on.  I believe the factory reset fried my Ionic (which seems to be a known problem to Fitbit), but since it's over a year old I'm apparently out of luck.

I have an Apple Watch now which is why I was going to transfer the Ionic to my wife, but with this happening again I'm realizing that Fitbit's aren't made to last and will be looking to invest in something more worthwhile for my wife in the future.
