So after this “update” in December my Fitbit ionic has gone to crap. After this update, In order to wake it back up after shutting it down and taking it off for the night, I used to just barely brush a button and it’d come back on, BUT NOW, I have to press all three buttons and do a restart for it to come back on. Then when I do that, it is stuck on all the same time and data that it had the moment I shut it down. That’s overlookable because a quick sync would fix all it BUT, whenever ever this happens my battery drains almost 25-50% A NIGHT. So my battery is dead after two nights of shutting it off. If I leave it on it’s fine! But that leads to misinformation in my data. Also, Fitbit has replaced my ionic now TWICE and they have all done the same thing! My watch was fine until this update in December! I have about had it, and am going to get my money back and get an Apple Watch. Fitbit has about lost my buisness over this! All they keep doing is sending a replacement (for which I am grateful) but golly! All your replacements do the same dang thing! Anybody else having this issue?

I really do like fitbits, but you have sent me two brand new ones in the last month and they all do the same thing. Idk what the problem is, I just want the things to work properly and until December time frame they have not. So I’m at the end of my rope on It and about to give up on this product

I got on here to see whether anyone else is experiencing the same issues I have since the latest firmware update. You've described what I've been experiencing exactly.

theres been lots of people on these forums with this problem, back in december the mods here reported it and promised me i would get an email within a couple of days...im still waiting, so much so, ive moved over to a garmin, like so many here. If you have to self isolate with the pandemic, spend some time reading all the threads here, but you may need a couple of weeks.

same issue with me- the latest firmware has stopped my fitbit from doing anything at all- I only have the logo and the introductory message of : "to use fitbit, download app" in the 8-10 languages

@HAMC6787 Welcome to the Community. Thanks for visiting the forums. I would like you to confirm that your Fitbit Ionic screen isn't turning on unless you restart it. Does your Ionic start working normally after you restart it?

Hi, I can help you with the same problem:
1. the screen does not turn on unless you press the lefthand button
2. then the logo screen turns on and takes you to the "start" screen of logo plus "to set up, download fitbit app".
3. it then turns off after about 10 seconds
4. so, in answer to your query, it does turn on, but it does not then work normally
