Ionic stops recording after one mile

Ionic.

I use my ionic sat nav to record how far I am running. However,  yesterday it stopped at exactly 1 mile. It did the same again today. It seems to have been set to stop recording after one mile.

Welcome to the Community @Beverley1983. Thanks for the details mentioned.

I would like you to make sure you're doing this procedure to track your activity using your Fitbit Ionic. By any chance, do you have the auto pause feature on

Please provide me with more details about what you're experiencing:

- Is it happening only with running?

- Have you tried using any other activity?

- Are you using SmartTrack or the exercise option in your Ionic?

Keep me posted! I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I have tried turning auto pause off but that didn't work, in fact it has
now got worse, it now stops recording after half a mile. I don't think it
was auto pause anyway because it stopped recording mid run.
I have not tried it with any other activity.
I am using the exercise option.

This has been working fine for the last 18 months, recording my runs
without any problems. Then 2 weeks ago it started doing the above.

Thanks for getting back @Beverley1983. I appreciate the extra details you've mentioned.

I apologize for the inconvenience you're having with your watch. If this happens again, I would recommend you to manually log your activity

If this happens again, please let me know.

"If it happens again you suggest I manually log my activity."
It happens every time!
So you are suggesting that my gps tracker has stopped working, so I should
do it manually?
This is very poor. I will use strava and reccomend that all my friends do
the same!
