Ionic stuck on 0% and won't charge

My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

I have been the same route.
I licked my wounds on this so to speak, and try to forget I liked the watch.

I will stay away from Fitbit for long time. There are options in Garmin

Hello @Realistic@AndieJ and @HerkNav, I hope you're doing well, it's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community. It's great to see you too @DramaQueenDiva, thanks for your insight about this situation. Smiley Happy

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and for sharing your experience and feedback about this situation. I understand some of you are still experiencing issues with your Ionic and I sincerely apologize for this. Please remember that we do not expect manufacturing issues to to affect our trackers but that's why every Fitbit tracker comes a limited product warranty and in case you have inquiries or doubts about what it covers, you can check it on this article: Return Policy & Warranty.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, have a nice day.

this is a useless answer because it would only be valid if you have a charge in your watch but with 0% charge , the watch wont start and you can go anywhere.

Mine wasn't charging but did as soon as I tried this and turned off my phone. Strange.

I’ve let my ionic run flat twice. Both times turning off Bluetooth on my phone, connecting the watch to the charger, reset the watch by holding the left button and top right button on the watch. And Voilà watch begins to charge again !!

Yours is still under warranty if it is only a month old. Call Fitbit and get them to send you a replacement. My issue was that mine that died was a replacement that they sent me for the first one that had a battery issue. The second I had only had for 6 months. But they said it did not have it's own 1 yr warranty it's warranty was based on the original one that failed. So they would not replace it.  Which is not how a warranty works in any other industry. If a warranty part on my car fails and they replace it and it fails too they they honor the full warranty time for the replacement just like the original. Fitbit just just invested in a faulty product with the Ionic and is trying to cut their losses at our expense.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Update: Call support and get a replacement. The Ionic seems to have some serious battery issues that Fitbit is trying to sweep under the rug. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Update: That really sucks. Have you called support? They should send you a replacement if your Ionic it less 6-8 months old. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

What has been successful to me is that I remove the device both from my iPhone Fitbit app and my Windows app. Then I remove (not just disconnect) from my Bluetooth iPhone settings. In essence, nothing is trying to communicate with it. I leave it unplugged from the USB charging while doing this and for a couple of days and I then plug it back in to charge and it charges. Don't know why this works but it has worked for me two times. It's almost like when it goes dead for a few days, it can't recharge while its connected to the apps and/or Bluetooth.

I hope this helps. As I said, I recovered this way two times.

I recently been having this issue. It has done this to me before but it turned back on so I thought no big deal. Well now it won’t charge or turn back on period. I called customer service to inform then that their product I love doesn’t work anymore. They told me since I bought the watch back in 2017 of October and now I’m over 4 months over my 1 year warranty they can’t do nothing about it but send me a discount code to purchase another watch. So basically I spent $300 and now I gotta spend even more money for something that couldn’t even last over 2 years. That is not right and wrong to customers that don’t mind paying top dollar for a company and product they believe in. I also bought the scale and had the charge 2. Fitbit I’m very disappointed.

I feel your pain. I have been with Fitbit since they first launched the Fitbit One. My Ionic that just died was a replacement for one that stopped holding a charge I had only had 6 months. In a year I had 3 to get a year and 1 month of service. They based my warranty on the purchase date of the very first one so I was 1 month over a year so discount was all they would give me. And that really sucks in my book. They don't warranty replacements. That is WRONG and VERY POOR Customer serviceSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I have the same issue, ie stuck at 0% (suddenly went from 9 to 0% when I restarted the Ionic after it did not charge and now it does not come back on at all).

I tried different charging cables, chargers, plugs and sources (outlet vs computer) but no luck.

Cleaned the charging ports and tried the restarts while plugged in as recommended on the forums but no luck either.

This is the 2nd Ionic that broke within 11 months, really really frustrating!

I contacted CS already.
