My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

My ionic appeared to be stuck on 0% - I usually plug and charge my iphone and ionic on quality powerblocks plugged into a multi-socket surge protector.  Lately the ionic recharge has been spotty.  Last night it went to 0% while plugged in and did not improve overnight (another night with no sleep data!).  This morning I plugged it into my mophie - nothing.  My imac.  Nothing.  I then took my powerblock and plugged directly into the wall. Voila.  It's charging.

So all that said, I don't get it Fitibit.  And also, this seems to be all of a sudden.  It was fine before.

I have finished reading the replies. I turned both my iPhone X and my iPad off, and left them switched off. Then check my Fitbit and low and behold it was now charging, I have now switched both iPhone and iPad back on and it is still charging 👍👍👍

How do you do a factor reset on the fitbit if it won't show you any screen?  All it does is show 0% and that is only when it's plugged in otherwise it's completely black.

Hey Santi

One thing I did find during my similar problem was the small ring around the
charging pins on the back of the watch if that has dirt or debris lodged in
it, it will stop the charging cable from making a proper connection causing
the same outcome, double check it clean it with a needle

Kindest Regards

How can we do this if the Fitbit won't charge or switch on?

How can you go to the settings if your battery is at 0%? Watch is essentially dead showing 0% on the screen.

I had this problem as well.  Almost freaked when I saw the instruction to reset. How can you reset it thew watch doesn't start?  By chance, I didn't leave this forum in frustration and kept reading until I saw one of the later posts which recommended using a toothpick to clean the contacts on the back of the Fitbit.  Didn't have a wooden toothpick, so I used the tip of a plastic eyedropper to rub the film (sweat) off the contacts, and my Fitbit booted up right away, and now says it is charged to 11% and has been climbing since it first read 5% at boot.

Hope this helps...  For the individuals who thought changing plugs fixed it, perhaps replugging the Fitbit cable multiple times simply pushed aside whatever was interfering with the connection?  Just a thought, as my Fitbit charges the same from Hi-power wall plugs, portable batteries, or plugged into my PCs or laptops.  Even my little Lenovo 2-in-1 Yoga A12 tablet/notebook will charge my Ionic with a USB Type-C to USB 2.0 adapter attached to the Fitbit charge cable.

Hello everyone! Thanks for your continuous participation on this thread regarding Ionic stuck at 0% and won't charge. Thanks for all of your reports.

If you are experiencing this, please make sure to perform a restart on Ionic. This should help you out.

Another thing you can do that has helped other users is cleaning the charging contacts on your Ionic. You can use a toothpick for this. Check this helpful article for more details.

If you keep experiencing the same, please contact customer support for further assistance. I can also help you file a ticket with them if needed.

Hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy

Great tip...I suggest before resetting, turning off the ionic and turning it on to see if it clears the issue. It did for me. Have a great day!

Can you contact them for me as well. My watch went to 0%. I plugged it in to charge. Now it is not even showing 0% and won’t charge. No lights when plugged in and I have used several usb and computer to try and charge it.

Call them. They had me trying the factory reset while charging but it
didn't work. I sent mine in and should get back the replacement soon.

I was able to restart it with 0% only without charging cable, when charging cable was connected - it refused to restart. After restart I've connected charging cable to powerbank and it started to charge. It's second time I faced this issue and battery died in one day. Strange.

Hi,

I have tried a reset, can't do a factory reset as cannot get into the ionic to do so on the settings. Have contacted customer services. Is there a number or is it only email? I need my watch back asap.

Many thanks,
