Ionic stuck on 0% and won't charge

My ionic was working great and then the battery died the other day. I plugged it in to charge and came back a few hours later and it still says 0% when you press a button. It has now been on charge for 3 days and still says 0%. I have tried wall chargers and running it off the laptop USB but still nothing! I can't reset or do anything as there is no battery life! Help!

My watch was stuck at 0% ... and would not charge. Once I rebooted my phone (while my watch was plugged into the charging cable) this seemed to cause the watch to reset and it started charging and then worked again.

So, left my watch plugged into the charging cable and simply rebooted my phone.

I did the same thing yesterday. And thought I had to read my original post.
But I turned off the Bluetooth, rebooted the phone and no prob.

Right out of the box my New Ionic would not charge. Kept getting message “Not Charging. Not Enough Power Detected from this Source." Tried charging first on my PC, then my PS4, my portable charger, and finally wall outlet. I contacted Fitbit about and they are sending me a new charger. I took upon my self to go purchase a replacement charger to test and still nothing. The device is completely dead now. I got mine through a health solution partner website of Fitbit.

@TDKilgore Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for sharing the experience you have had with your new Ionic not charging.

Are you getting the message on the watch's display? Please check these solutions for batteries that are not charging, you will find this helpful.

Also, if it keeps doing the same, I'd recommend following up with the case you already have with customer support and letting them know about what happened. That way, they can keep checking on your device and provide a better solution.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

My fitbit won't charge. This is my first post here . I've had to come on here most weeks for things going wrong  Anyway, my ionic now won't charge and its on 0%. I have tried different charging places. I can't reboot the fitbit either way. I've tried restarting my phone and doing a sync turning on /off Bluetooth. I've tried so many things. If I do get it working again, I'll then try and sort out just about every other thing that could go wrong with it.

Update: My fitbit won't charge at all. Ecerytime I charge it I have problems but this time no solution has worked. I have resorted to rubbing alcohol, toothbrush, toothpick, changing charge locations, connecting reconnecting literally hundreds of times over the last week. I have left it on charge for days which previously worked but not now. When it does work, the ionic has vibrated once in the past 1-2 months - it gave me a shock. I get some notifications. Watchfaces only last for up to a week before forced to change - even fitbit designed ones. Where do I stop  I could go on and on.

@Cokeboyne Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting that you are also experiencing the same situation with Ionic not charging.

Why are you not able to restart your watch? Please follow the steps on this article to restart it, don't worry if your watch isn't charging, try it out. This has helped other users in the past.

Also, check these solutions for batteries that are not charging. You should find this helpful too.

Clean the contacts In the ionic a d the charger. Connector has to fit inside a cavity completely. That fixed my problem when wasn't charging. No more problems since then, over a month ago

Last night after 1.5 days of trying to get it to charge trying all sorts of things, but having left it as I'd given up on it, I found it had charged itself to almost full. I then had to sync it as time was a couple of days or which took multiple forced restarts of fitbit and phone before it would work. Still won't sync for phone calls or messages.

I woke up today finding my Fitbit dead and needing charged. When I plugged it into the charger I noticed it wasn't lighting up or doing anything. So I waited about an hour and still nothing. Wanted to assure the charging area on the watch was clean. So I took a toothbrush scrubbed it really good got all the dirt out dried it off, plugged it back in to the charger and boom! It works! #toothbrushaction #resolvedcharge

I have had this watch less than a year, got it as a Christmas gift, and when the battery died I couldn’t get it to turn back on. I went to a few different troubleshooting websites and tried a few different methods of turning it back on and it just won’t. It doesn’t even light up like it’s charging. Suggestions?
