@SunsetRunner I assume the watch was less than 12 months old

No, it was 15 months old. So I was surprised. I have been told that in the UK we get 2 years warranty on certain items, not just on Fitbit products. I don't know if that is true, I've not checked it out.

My Ionic died today. Was bought in the US on Dec 27 2017. No power, no sensor life, nothing on the charger and it was last synced at around 8:30pm.
I’ve tried the reset, no success. 😩

@lew67 What you experienced is exactly what happened to me. I spent the better part of the day yesterday trying to explain to customer service what was going on. I even posted on a different part of this forum Iconic not syncing and then after working with customer support and the next level up support they determined that it was the device itself. Now today I see the pink banner stating the Iconic is having syncing issues but they are sending me out a replacement. I'm not sure I want to set up the replacement until they have the issues resolved. It seemed strange out of the blue my watch was losing time. Thankfully I still kept my Blaze and it's able to sync and keep correct time.

Mine died yesterday at 6 months. Fitbit, what is the rest of this story?

@cocacolamaster7 how old was / is your device? I am having trouble getting action from customer service and I'm approaching 2 weeks with a watch that won't tell time. It tracks activity, though without accurate time or syncing that's pretty useless too.

Mine is 15 months old, fitbit support got me sorted in a couple of days.

Same issues here. Really frustrating. Can't believe there solution was to offer me 40% off... its ridiculous. I even offered to send it to them and pay to fix it and they apparently can't even do that.

Not sure if this will help but thought I'd post something I found out yesterday.
My Ionic was not syncing to my Note 9. After trying everything this is how I got it working.
clear cache on note
turn on and off bluetooth
Shutdown the Ionic and then turn on
Everying at that point worked.
I'm wondering if there is a software bug and like phones, it helps to turn the unit off and then have it reboot.
If it's a memory leak issue, this could help in your case also.
A little info from Fitbit would be nice... I'm sure they know what's causing this.

Yes... Rebooting will most only help if it's done before the problem hits.
It's more of.a prevention idea.

How odd, my Fitbit also died within the last week after having it for 14 months, and I too received the coupon offer. What a coincidence that they all failed at the same time!
