Ionic sync to Endomondo fails

Hello,

i have seen a couple of times now, that i can track an exercise, in my case running, on the fitbit ionic watch. It will sync with the fitbit app, but fails to sync with endomondo. This only happens every other time, most of the time it will sync. Last week just wearing the watch it worked to sync the app and then endomondo. Today i carried my phone with me, but used only the watch for tracking and it will not write the data towards endomondo. This is a big nuisance when you are using training plans in endomondo. Is there s fix or a way to trigger the sync process?

i tried this so far:

1) disconnect the fitbit with endomondo and setup the sync from scratch

2) try to modify an exercise in fitbit, to make it send data again towards Endomondo. I appreciate any ideas or solutions. Thank you!

Endomondo will not sync to your ionic but syncs with your Fitbit account.

Since third party apps e Endomondo are responsible for their connection I would suggest 'em reaching out to them.

I will try. I guess it depends how you want to see it, for me the ionic is a third party accessory to my app.

If it cant be fixed i will abandon the watch not the app.

That's correct @Markin86 when it comes to Endomondo, Fitbit would be a third party.

If you are having issues connecting Fitbit to Endomondo you will need to teach our to Endomondo since the problem is on their servers.

If it was on Fitbits side then no app would have access to your Fitbit data since they all use the same Fitbit API.

Sure you can get rid of your Fitbit tracker because of a problem on Endomondo's server.

Try this to connect.

1: open Endomondo

2: Go to Settings -> Connect, scroll down toFitbit and press Click here to connect your account. ... 6: Fitbit is added to Endomondo as a workout, thus you get all the benefits of the workout statistics from the Fitbit Tracker, e.g., total duration, total calories, total distance, total workouts.

Thank you all for your help.

The endomondo support was able to help me. It seems to be working now; syncing all activities in both directions. Great friendly support on their side.

I can only recommend endomondo. Best running app with great trainings plans to train towards your goals.

Would you be able to elaborate as to how the Endomondo team were able to resolve your issue as I have the exact same issue. Thanks in advance.
