Ionic- tracking broken sleep

My Fitbit ionic appears to track sleep duration accurately but on days when I have broken sleep (due to dog or child waking me up for attention) it does not record stats (R.E.M., light sleep etc) for the second portion of my sleep, even though the device acknowledges I was asleep the whole time. As a result all my sleep averages for the week are distorted. Does anyone else have this issue?

For example, last night I went to sleep at around 12.30am and was woken by the dog at 6am so took her outside for 10 minutes. I returned to bed and fell asleep again about 6.30am and woke up properly just before 10am. My Ionic  correctly says I was asleep until 10am but only records official sleep as till 6am (5.5 hours) which it adds to my weekly average , rather than the 9 hours sleep I actually got. There doesn’t appear to be a way to manually corect this in the ap which is annoying as inevitably I have broken sleep every few days. Does anyone else have this issue and is there a work around?

@Zetlander Welcome to the Fitbit family! Sorry for the delayed response. Are you still experiencing this?  I do think there is a way to fix this!

First, there are some reasons as to why your sleep stages are not being tracked. Please take a look at this post to check them out.

Also, you can manually delete sleep logs as well as you can manually add them. You can even edit them if needed. Please take a look at this helpful post to learn how to do so. This should certainly help you out getting rid of the broken sleep logs.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes! Smiley Happy
