Ionic tracks heart rate when I am not wearing it

My iconic has been tracking my heart rate when I'm not wearing it. I've tried restarting it several times and turning the heart rate monitor on and off and still it will not stop tracking. Any ideas how to fix?  🤔

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @MrsBraaksma.

Thanks for the details shared in your post and for already trying to resolve the issue. I understand your concern and would like to confirm if the watch hasn't been worn for at least a minute before checking your heart rate?
