Ionic trouble charging and changing low battery alert

Today I left for work and 35 mins after arriving, I get the low battery email.

Today turns out to be the busiest day I?ve seen and by lunch I've hit my 10k steps. An hour or so later I glance down, WOW, nearing 13k, this'll be a 20k day!

A couple hours later I look...blank screen...crap, dead battery again!

I love my Ionic but am getting sick of the dead battery thing. I should get an alert a good 12 hours before a black screen. Giving me six or so is ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS, my charging cable is at home.

Is it possible to set it so I get the battery warning earlier?

Next frustrating thing is it acts DEAD dead for at least 8hrs after this happens. No charge indicator, nothing. I had it sit for days before because I couldn't tell it wasn't charging, and even asked for a warranty replacement until suddenly it was alive again.

Suggestion, have it send a BT message to my phone saying it's charging...or at least let me see the charging indicator, Mine, despite being about six months old is super finicky about how the stock cable connects, I always have to screw around a bit to get it to connect and have already given up on an aftermarket stand charger.

@MrShawn Welcome to the Community. Thank you so much for sharing what you've experienced with your Fitbit Ionic.

I appreciate the detailed information shared. As you mentioned, you should receive an email alerting you about your Ionic's battery level. Since there has been some trouble for your watch to charge, I would like you to try the tips mentioned in this article: Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?

In order to confirm that you will receive the low battery alert, please go to your Dashboard > select settings > in the right menu choose Notifications and double check that these are checked to receive an email. After you've checked it click on save.

Regarding your idea about sending a BT message letting you know that's charging, the best place to make your voice heard is our Feature Suggestion board, those are reviewed by our team and the status will change based in Fitbit's plans.

Let me know how it goes.
