Ionic turned off and is unresponsive

My ionic stopped working over night and won’t turn on, it’s completely unresponsive. I tried to turn it off (even though it’s already off ha) with the left button and the bottom button, tried cleaning the charging slot and the charger (it was fully charged when I went to bed), and tried the factory reset. Nada. So no tips in here have worked. Thank you!

The same thing has happened to my Ionic.  It synced at 9:25 pm and quit working shortly after that.  I have tried all of the troubleshooting ideas online and nothing works.  Why does the Ionic have so many issues?

My Ionic turned off sometime late this evening, too.  I didn't notice until i went to start my workout.  It is completely unresponsive.  I have tried a factory reset and have it hooked up to the charger to see if somehow it drained.  It has been on the charger for over an hour, and is still completely dead/unresponsive.  This is my second Ionic (first replaced under warranty - if I remember right, it was stuck in a persistent bootloop and tech support had me send it back for an "autopsy").  Unfortunately, I think this one is out of warranty; I've had it probably 1 1/2 years or so.    My wife's Blaze is still going strong...

Hello, same here. Fitbit app shows that the last sync was Sunday 5/12 at 10:43am, I didn't wear it all day. Went to put on Monday and the screen has been blank ever since. It was fully charged Saturday, so that's not the issue. This same thing actually happened last year, but it came back on by itself all of a sudden a few days later. I think it's strange how everyone is reporting the same issue on different message boards, and it looks like FitBit isn't offering any real relief for most.

Same thing happened to me today.  Fully charged my Ionic two days ago.  Last sync was Monday evening.  Have tried all suggested fixes that I have located in the Community (2 buttons, 3 buttons, plugged into charger, cleaned charging contacts) but nothing has worked.  Fitbit... please assist.

Similar experience but mine did not start doing this until today 5/15 sometime earlier this afternoon.  My Fitbit is randomly turning off.  I noticed it happened a few times when I would get a text or when I would turn my wrist to get the display to turn on but that may be coincidental. I am able to get it to turn back on but it takes awhile.  I unpaired the Bluetooth from my phone and then paired again, I have done many resets, changed the clock face but it feels like this might be a software issue.  Perhaps they need to do an update to the firmware/software if we all seem to be having similar issues starting around the same time frame

My Ionic switched off sometime yesterday evening. Noticed it at bedtime and left it. Today I plugged it in to charge and noticed nothing happened. I kept unhooking the charger and hooking it up again but there is absolutely no display nor green flashes at the rear of it. Tried everything but it's dead. It's really disappointing as I had no problems with it at all prior to this. There was no warning at all. I've tried the 'hold all 3 buttons for 10 seconds' which had no effect at all. Had my Ionic since August 2017 so it's out of warranty I guess. Funny how so many have died today. It's like there's been a signal from the mothership and they've all gone down. Well, well, well. I think I'll just carry my phone around in future to do my exercise tracking. I'm not spending £300 again.

I contacted the Chat function to seek help there as well.  Was told to clean contacts, hold all 3 buttons for 10 seconds, then plug back into charger.  However, nothing worked.

They then checked on my warranty options as they "consider the Fitbit device is defective".  Since I am out of the one-year warranty, I was offered a 25% discount on the purchase of a new Ionic through Fitbit.com.

I am going to leave it plugged in and hope that it comes back online at some point, as some have posted that their watch came back on after a couple of days after doing this in the past.
