Ionic turning itself off

My Ionic has been running itself off.   It worked fine when I woke up this morning but then the face when dark.   The battery was at 70- something percent.   I plugged it in to charge and restarted it, but it just turned itself off again.   I have tried to start it several times.   Still turns back off.

I've had my device since February 2018.

Any suggestions?

Welcome on board @debijo2379! Thanks for trying to manually reboot your Ionic, nice way to go!

While reading your post I was wondering if you are still having this inconvenience with your Ionic? If so, please let's try once again the restart by making sure you follow every single steps as described below:

1. Press and hold the back (left) and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. This should take less than 10 seconds.
2. Let go of the buttons.
3. If your Fitbit Ionic doesn't work normally, use the instructions in How do I turn off my Fitbit device? to turn your watch off and on again.

On a side note, please make sure your Ionic is charged to 100% before proceeding with the restart. If you're not sure about how many battery your watch has, charge it at least 1 hour and then complete the steps provided.

Give this a shot and let me know the outcome!

It worked fine for a few days but now it is having another issue.  I'm going to contact customer service.
