Ionic undiscoverable by other blue tooth devices and nonresposive apart from logo on screen

Used the Ionic for 8 days before I had a problem with the time becoming different to that on my Samsung Note 8.

Found I was intermittently having synching problems.

Tried a restart.

Removed device from phone blue tooth.

Used the phone to do a factory reset supposedly to restore to initial state.

Now can't see the device at all from either my phone or PC.

When I try to add the ionic as a new device (no other fitbit devices attached to either phone or PC) the ionic is not able to be discovered. I reatedly get the

"Not working?" screen

" Make sure your watch is charged and turned on" ... it is

"Restart your watch by pressing the left and lower right buttons." ...... done that. After the logo disappears the fitbit face goes black and it takes quite a time for the logo to re-appear.

" Turn off your Bluetooth on your mobile device and turn it back on" done that

"Try again" ....... and again and again and go through the same loop agaiin andnagain and again via the "not working screen"

Ideas please.  Can you do another factory reset on a fitbit ionic that you can't get past the logo on i.e. via the buttons like the restart?  Going no where - simply getting frustrated with Fitbits that don't work

Please make sure your watch stay charged if you don't it will not charge or power up again. Good luck on your Bluetooth issue.  Please see all the recent post about the power issue.

that in itself is concerning. Been on charger for at least 12 hours in last 60 since I took it off because a watch showing the wrong time is a disaster in business?

It is not possible to see if it is charged as all one can see is the logo.

Is it possible to do another factory reset?

No @halfflorin if the tracker shows the Fitbit setup address you will not see any battery status. The vibration when connecting is the best you should see

tracker does not even get to the fitbit set upo address.

all i can see is the fitbit logo or a black screen

no I just turned the charger on again and saw a re 0%

that is truly weird as it had been connected to power all last night.

upon close inspection I notice that the charger cord does not fit as snug  as the same cord on my wife's ionic.  I have deteceted a grain of something obstructing the shroud over the terminals on the charger cord from sittitting completely into place on the ionic.  Having removed that  the device appears to be charging (I see a steady logo) but there is still no reaction to pressing the back button and the device is still not discoverable.

As the device has not come back up from a factory reset - what do I hope to see first.  A fitbit setup screen on the ionic OR discover the device from my phone's bluetooth OR just be able to discover it from my phone or laptop when I try to add the device again?  Thanks so far Rich_Laue

only ever saw a number and % once since this problem started.

No am just confronting a black screen. No logo. nothing. No blue tooth visibility.

To all intents and purposes dead for a device that seemed to work as expected for around two weks until the time shown became unreliable?????

tracker is clearly charged as been on charger now for at least 24 hours.

can sometimes see a logo while on charge

sometime it is black screen

at all times unresponsive to the back button

no percent charged indicated when being charged

never a discoverable bluetooth

has not shown the internet shortcut since factory reset or after an attempt at restart with back button and lower right hand key  ........

this device was connected 23 December and seemed OK.

first symptom was watch time not synching which I was not able to resolve with a restart.

attempt at factory reset seems to have sent the ionic into its current catatonic state .

Anyone any last ideas before I start to badmouth the brand and go to Garmin?

After reading 5 posts, I'm still looking for the type of phone.

Yes we know the ionic can not be paired to your phone by you, it is not made to be discoverable by the phones Bluetooth screen.

It must be setup through the Fitbit app, and why would you do a factory reset, where you planning on going the ionic to someone else?

Thank you Rich_Lau I have a samsung note 8 phone and a HP Elite notebook.

I did a factory reset because I had quickly became reliant on the Fitbit Ionic as a watch which I wear 24 hours.

When I woke on the 8th day the time was about 80 minutes late which was very embarassing die to commitments. It righted itself when I manaually synched.  The next day it was wrong again, though had seemed to maintain time OK during daylight hours.

It then did not synch and reset the time with the fitbit app on my phone. So I tried restarts (back and lower right buttons). Did not fix so I did a factory restart.

Now I am dealing with an effectively non-responsive device on which I can sometimes see the fitbit logo, sometimes a black screen?????????
