Welcome to the forums!
I like them both so I'm no help. The Versa is slimmer in design though.
You can compare them here:

Look around the forums and join in on some of the discussions! Lot's going on!
Hope to see you around!

Thank you Wendy. I have compared them. I guess I'm looking more for advice on quality and if anyone has had any issues with things breaking.

Probably the largest differentiator is that the Ionic has GPS built-in, the Versa does not (and hence would require you bring your phone along to utilize connected-GPS).
Outside of that, I think there are many posts on both the Ionic and Versa forums that cover struggles some users are experiencing (consistent on both is reliability of data sync). You would probably be best served spending some time reviewing the existing posts on both forums to see if there are issues that are of concern to you. And then join in on those posts to request further insight/feedback.

@millner Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for your interest in getting a Fitbit watch. I'm glad you have received some help on this thread about this.
Regarding things breaking; there are just a few cases in which this has happened and every time it does; Fitbit customer support is ready to help you out with that.
Not a common thing to happen though; these watches are pretty well built and are though. They resist water up to 50M and scratches (it uses a corned Gorilla Glass 3 on its display). It is made out of strong & lightweight 6000 series aerospace-grade aluminum.
It also includes a high resolution touchscreen with increased pixels & amplified brightness up to 1000 nits. The band is quick to attach to easily swap accessory bands for different styles.
@sfringer @WendyB Thanks for sharing your help on this thread.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!
