I have had my Ionic for around 7 months now and when I came to charge it today, after seeing that the battery was dead, it would not charge. I have tried all trouble shooting and cleaning methods and still nothing.
I had this issue too but found a solution you should try. Leave it charging and you will hopefully find after a day or too it comes back to life. Mine did after 4 days and no issues since
