Ionic will not charge

My ionic is less than a year old and it will not charge. I woke last week and it was dead. I’ve had it charging and the screen is still blank. What can I do? I’m think I should have just put that money toward an Apple Watch ;(

I know this probably sounds obvious but have you tried a different USB plug/adapter? Also try pressing and holding the left button and bottom right button together for 15 secs, maybe this will get it to turn on.

I went away for the weekend and forgot to bring my charger, hence, my battery drained completely. I stuck it on the charger when I got home and saw the charging indicator at 0%. When I woke up and tried to turn it on, there was nothing and the indicator was still at 0%. I took it off the charger and put it back on and now I don't even get that.

I have cleaned the contacts, tried different chargers, tried charging it with a computer, no joy with any of those methods. Is there a trick to this of which I am not aware?

I have had this tracker for maybe 8 months. I do not want to deal with a refurbished replacement again because I went through 3 replacements for my surge; none of which worked when I received them. I like fitbits when they work, but they don't seem to last very long.

It's not a threat, but trackers dying after less than a year seems to be a pretty common issue. I would never buy any apple product, but given my history with fitbit trackers, I think it might be time to try a different brand.
