Fitbit support,
I just bought an Ionic and it will not setup neither on a windows 10 computer or Samsung S8. With the Ionic connected to the computer, via USB the setup functions initially and pairs (Bluetooth) with the computer and then connects to Wi-Fi (router in the same room as computer and Ionic) once Wi-Fi password is entered. However, after those are both connected the Fitbit app requires the watch software to be updated and after awhile locates the watch and then says connecting to Wi-Fi which after several minutes states failed try again (in the Fitbit app on the computer) and neither Wi-Fi not Bluetooth options work. Both say failed, try again. I have removed the device from my account, removed the watch from my computer's Bluetooth pairing, restarted the computer, restarted the watch and verified my firewall allows the watch through. I then tried with my phone (same account) and the watch is not even visible, in the Fitbit app to the phone, although my phone's Bluetooth sees the watch, but I cannot pair without the app functioning. I have reviewed the setup instructions and troubleshooting and nothing works. What is my next step?
V/r,
Scott W.

On my computer app, it says it can't connect to fitbit.com. On my iPhone app it just gave me an HTTPS 503 error which I assume is the same thing.

Now I just got a fitbit is down for maintenance message so that must be the case.

I did see that message and agree there may be a broader issue. However, I have been trying since Sunday to setup my watch and I just saw the website message Friday for the first time.
Thanks for the information and reply, greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, nothing worked and no changes, watch still will not successfully setup on a computer or Samsung 8.
Removed and reinstalled Fitbit app on both computer and Samsung 8 phone.
Computer starts setup, pairs Bluetooth, connects to Wi-Fi and then during software update the watch will not connect to Wi-Fi. Restarting the Ionic watch had no affect.
Samsung phone Bluetooth sees the watch in the IOS, but the Fitbit app does not see the watch to even connect the Bluetooth (step 1 of setup). Restarting the Ionic watch had no affect.
Again, watch is unusable as it stays on the setup screen (watch face).

@ScotW @tkroll93 A warm welcome to the Community. I appreciate the troubleshooting tried and the details mentioned.
We're aware of syncing and setup issues you might experience. This was an issue who was affecting some users yesterday, however, it has been resolved. I would like you to try to set up your Ionic once again using your phone or computer.
@tkroll93 If you're still experiencing syncing issues, please try this troubleshooting.
Let me know the outcome.
