I went for a swim today with my family, the first time Ive used my ionic in the swimming pool in fact it’s the first time I’ve even got it wet since January.

As I was in the pool around an hour on checking how I was progressing the open swim tracker page began to flit between paused and go numerous times without me touching the pause button.

on getting out of the pool the watch switched itself off and hasn’t switched back on its been 5 hours now and shows no signs of waking up!

Any advice would be extremely helpful

Many thanks

Vik

Hi Vik,

Sorry to hear of your problem.  Just to clarify something (because someone is going to ask it anyway) does the watch have any charge?  I.e, is the battery definitely not dead?

Also, whilst on the subject, when connected to a charger does the watch face show any signs of life?  For example do you get the battery percentage level showing?

If not then it's concerning. Give Fitbit support a shout first and if there's no joy there then see about obtaining a replacement from where you purchased it.  Good luck.

Hi,

yes the Fitbit was on around 90% battery before the swim and I’ve tried charging it after the swim!

The screen has lit up as though it was going to come on but then doesn’t it’s done this twice only.

No other signs of life otherwise!!
