My new "super smart watch "will not sync contect to WiFi and has lost 18 minutes in time over 3 days . I managed to sync on set up after first setup it will not sync .I have followed all trouble shooting via phone and live chat and nothing will work . A factory reset has been done . I have tried two devices that are fully supported . Fitbit have not responded to last message .there advise was wait for a new firmware update .with no timescale . NOT good enough . A £300 watch should work . I would like a replacement and if this doesn't solve issues sorry but will have to look to another fitness tracker . I had no problems with my surge apart from band peeling .

looks like things going to repeat itself. all the email support suggestions are just things I did already (for many times) without success. for sure it's a bluetooth issue - either a hardware problem in my iconic, or a software bug in the os2.0/fitbit phone app.

Mine seemed to be ok for about a week but is now back to random. The only thing that has helped as a temporary fix is to turn off the ionic and phone and restart them both at the same time. Not ideal but it does seem to work. I do this in the evening to make sure stats are logged.

Agreed. The flyer I have yet to be able to upload music and it took forever to be paired.

Is there a fix for the sync and WiFi connect issues? I've spent hours trying to sort my watch out today with no success, won't sync using pc or iPad or Samsung s8... Apps music, Strava etc not connecting ... it is the whole point of buying the watch...

@Wesbur don’t waste any more time on it. I spent over two months trying all sorts of temporary solutions, rebooting, factory resets etc in the belief it was a software issue that would be resolved with an update.
Two updates later it got it got worse and even temporary fixes no longer worked. It seams like it’s a hardware issue on the early ionics.
Contact support and push for a replacement It’s the only real solution

Hi, I am jumping in on your post as I am having the same issues with my Ionic and am so disappointed as well. My is compatible and still won't sync.
Hope Fitbit finds a fix soon!

I've had mine since 1/2018 and it can never connect to WiFi. I've even set my router to Ionic's mac address and still no joy. However syncing with Bluetooth it syncs just fine. I'm not sure it's worth complaining about. What benefit is wifi sync over the Bluetooth Sync?

I use the fitbit connect app to sync music from Windows. http://cache.fitbit.com/FitbitConnect/FitbitConnect-v2.0.2.7038-2018-04-11.exe

Dreadfull customer service and dreadfull product, my first failed to connect to anything of use and couldn't even be used as a watch abroad as we could not change the time zone before we travelled or during.
Broke on holiday, new unit arrived today and can't get that to connect to anything either
utter rubbish

Can't get the wifi connect at all...went through the setup up and it states "success" but when I go in to the setup it states "off" for wifi. $300 for a step counter : )
