Ionic will power on but nothing else

Hi,

Over the last three years I've bought 3 Fitbit Flexes (2 for myself and 1 for a gift), a HR as a gift, a surge, a blaze as a gift, Aroa and 2 Ionics (1 for myself and 1 for a present). Of these devices only 2 still work the blaze and 1 Ionic.

To say I'm unhappy is an understatement and in truth I am unlikely to buy another Fitbit device again.

My Ionic won't sync, so I went through the normal steps, reset, let the battery run down etc . Last resort I factory reset the device and now it won't connect and it just shows the setup screen on the watch. As it's 14 months or so old, it'll now be out of warranty so just wanted to leave this message as a thank you for the waste of money that I've spent on your devices.

Yep your situation is a constant occurrence unfortunately.  The brand is losing customer after customer like yourself.  Device seems to last just until the warranty period expires.  Then bricks on a factory reset to new.  Really is a very shortsighted business approach losing customers who have already bought into the brand.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic

Same here! Have purchased 3 Fitbit watches previously. Updated my Ionic and now I have a $300 piece of junk that doesn't work. I'm just barely 3 months out of warranty and the failure was due to an update that Fitbit created! They offered me 25% off any new watch except the Charge 3 or 40% off another **ahem** Ionic. Any brands your considering? I'm just starting to do my research.

Sadly, I think you're both right from what I've been reading on the forum. I'm not unique, it seems to be a common theme. The only thing I know so far is that Garmin seems like a good brand from knowing people who have them, though I will do my own research and see what comes ip.
