Ionic with Windows 10 Mobile, not quite there yet

I'm setting up my new Ionic with my Lumia 950 with Windows 10 Mobile and while I like the Ionic, there are some disappointing issues...

- No notifications from texts

- Can't add a credit card in the Wallet app

- When I loaded a stock tracker app, and try to enter a stock symbol, the Fitbit app crashes every time.

- Can't figure out how to control music that is playing on my phone, which is a feature I really miss from my MS Band 2, and one of the reasons I bought an Ionic.

Hi, @dacarter, if you have any specific issues you might be able to get more help on the Windows app Fitbit forum.  I believe some users have text messages working well on some devices -- not 100% sure about the Ionic but I think you should be able to get some help there.

I'll take a look but that forum looks like its for W10 not W10Mobile.

I called tech support, which was very good, and got answers/fixes to most of my issues..

- The notifications were turned on on the watch, but off in the app, so that was an easy fix and notifications are working now.

- The Wallet app is not yet supported on W10 Mobile which is why I don't see an option to add a credit card.  I am told they are working on it.

- To control music on my Windows Phone, I had to enable and pair a 2nd Bluetooth device called Ionic classic.  You do this in the settings on the watch, then connect on the phone.  Music control now works.

- On the stock app, this issue is not fixed.  I think it's a bug in the FitBit app since the same behavior can be seen if you try to report an app.  When you type the first character of the description of why you are reporting it, the Fitbit app crashes completely.  This has been reported now.
