Ionic won't connect after a factory reset

Hi,

Problem started yesterday. My Bluetooth headphones didn't connect. So I unpaired them from my Ionic. Then spent the next 30 trying to repair them.

But they did show up as an option. Turned all other Bluetooth devices off.

No Joy. I then tried to pair the head phone with other devices, they work fine.

So factory reset the Ionic. All

Now the ionic won't connect to the app. Deleted the old iconic profile, done all the steps with the Bluetooth of and on again. Tried pc and two phones. Still detects the watch but wont pair. Factory reset a couple of times.

What can I do next?

My Ionic had lost the ability to swipe through the screens or I was unable to tap the screen to start the exercising functions. It still worked telling the time and when synced with my laptop it showed the steps, heart rate etc.

I contacted Fitbit through their live chat and when they had done their diagnostics, recommended a factory reset. I was advised beforehand that any data on the Fitbit would be lost.

I did the reset, went through the App and tried to set it up as a new device. It failed. It shows on my iPhone as being present through bluetooth but it will not connect over wifi which means that the screen just shows their logo.

I now have a totally useless Ionic because I followed Fitbits advice and recommendation. At no point was I advised that the reset might render it useless, Fitbit are now denying responsibility for breaking it completely. They state that they are unsure how a device will react following factory reset - SURELY they must know that it may fail and have to warn me in advance ?

All they will do is offer me the customary 25% off a new device - well I'm off to the Apple store tomorrow
