I used to be able to use my ionic to change the music playing on my phone using the Bluetooth classic feature. Now that FitbitOS 2.0 was released, I can no longer control the music on my phone. I couldn't on my OnePlus 3T and I still can't on my new Samsung Galaxy S9+. This is related to the update and not my phone(s). I use spotify for music, not my phone's native music player.
Also, on a side note, my ionic didn't used to read the title of my phone's music coming from spotify but there was a bug a couple times where it did in fact read the title for a fraction of a second before the 2.0 update. That means that it's possible to detect the song data and I think that information is vital to the music control function on the ionic.

Try a Ionic and phone restart.

The exact same situation as mine.
Control worked fine on OS 1.0, and the metadata would sporadically show.
Control does not work on OS 2.0.
Using a HTC 10 on Android 8.0.

Someone else had this problem and it worked. Not seeing why you need to criticize me.
