Ionic won't hold a charge

I charge my Fitbit Ionic with its original charge cord so there shouldnt be a problem. For the past couple of days I have charged my Fitbit to 100% and it only seems to hold a charge for a few hours. Last night charged to 100% dead by morning. I don't know what to do. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Vjbecerra, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Let me share with you that the battery of our Ionic was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

Hi there! Well it looks like my Fitbit has completely died. And I have only had it a little over a year. I understand the ionic is designed to get 5 days out of a charge but I was only able to get 5 hours, if that, out of a charge. If it was charged 100% before bed time by morning it was dead. At this point it will not charge at all or restart or respond in anyway 😞 please help

Your reply is appreciated @Vjbecerra.

I'm sorry to know that your Ionic is not responding anymore. To better assist you and further investigate, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi, I have the same issue. The battery for the last few day have only last serveral hours. I havechanged any setting it used to last 5days as you said. The fitbit app on my phone tell me I have an update. I do the update and it reboots but tell me I still have the update to install 27.70.8.0. The firmware on the watch is 27.70.8.0. It say it needs to calibrate plug in the power cable I do this it fails. The green led don't light up on the back and and the steps arn't being counted. The watch is syncing with the app.
