Ionic won't sync with Google Pixel 2

I just got a Pixel 2 a couple of days ago. I switched from iPhone, where I never had a single problem, and with the Pixel I have immediately noticed an issue...Fitbit has a VERY hard time syncing. For every twenty times I try to sync with my ionic using the Fitbit app in the Pixel, it works MAYBE once. I've noticed more often than not that it will just say "sync has been scheduled" and then nothing happens.

Having come off iOS where Fitbit was integrated seamlessly, this is incredibly frustrating. I've read multiple posts about this topic that Fitbit has marked as "solved" that aren't solved in any way.

What is the solution to this, other than returning my phone?

I'm in the same boat as I also have a Pixel 2.   The Bluetooth works great with every device I've tried, exception being the Ionic.

Unfortunately the Pixel 2 is not on their list of supported devices. That said I tried a phone from their list  and it doesn't sync any better than my Pixel 2.

From my limited experience it seems the problem is with the Ionic  and not the phone being used.

Gave my wife a Charge 2 and more recently a Charge 3, they both sync great with her Pixel phone.

Good Luck.
