Ionic won’t turn on after being dormant for 6 months

I stopped using my ionic for 6 months due to skin allergies from the watch. The ionic was paired to my then iPhone and worked as expected for a year. That  phone has since been replaced with a new iPhone. The new iPhone successfully pairs with all of my devices except the ionic. The ionic isn’t “seen”. by my iPhone to attempt pairing.

assuming the ionic battery is flat after 6 months, I recharged it.

After charging, the  blue Fitbit logo was illuminated. Pressing left and 2 right buttons for 15 snd 20 seconds resulted in the Fitbit logo disappearing for about an hour. The logo spontaneously reappeared and stayed on until ill the battery fully discharged. Pushing the left and lower right button had no effect. I recharged the ionic and repeated the above with no success.

my iPhone does not detect the ioinc at ant stage of the above.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

@Andoman Welcome to our Fitbit Community. Regarding the unresponsive screen and pairing issue that your Fitbit Ionic has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums. Also, I'm sorry about the wrist reaction you experienced.

I would like to know if your Ionic vibrates when you put it on the charger. In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, charge your Ionic for 2-3 hours and see if it turns on.

Finally, make sure to follow the setup process as instructed in this help page and see if it pairs with your phone properly.

See you later.
