I bought my Ionic July 16, 2019, so it's now a few months out of warranty. It refused to connect to bluetooth yesterday so I tried all the things: reset bluetooth, reset phone, reset watch, remove device and re-pair. Nothing worked so I resorted to "factory reset".
After hitting factory reset, the watch completely turned off and never turned on again. I tried charging it a few hours, did the 2-button 10 second hold and the 3-button 30 second hold...nothing. Tried it at least 5 times. Set it on charger overnight, tried again. Still nothing after many tries. I know the charger works because I charged it yesterday morning. It's officially bricked and I'm about 5 months out of warranty. Anyone have any solutions? It's ridiculous to pay $180 for a watch that lasted 1.4 years, when my previous fitbit lasted 3+ years (still alive but gave it to someone when I got the Ionic). Any help or suggestions?

Hi @JDaniel4, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for sharing many details about the issue you're experiencing with your Ionic and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation
Looking forward to your reply.

@RicardoFitbit No sensors are flashing. It shows no signs of life whatsoever. I've checked the two posts you linked, and none of those apply; everything is cleaned, outlet works, etc. None of the restart options work either.

Any help or suggestions?
Other than an electronic failure, it may be a battery charging issue. The battery shouldn't be EOL just yet. It may have slightly reduced capacity after 1.4 years, but *should* have another year or two reasonable life left. Having said that - the batteries in the Ionics seem to vary a bit in quality/longevity. Given that the battery is not replaceable (without cracking open the body and supergluing it back up) it perhaps should have been of a higher manufactured quality, as once the battery dies - so does the Ionic. Throw away job.
I'd be trying a few different charging sources. Try and source a higher current 5V charger. Keep the charging cable connected for a few days. Periodically try the two and three button restart several times also whilst the cable is connected.
Most importantly... hold your mouth right! Yours is not an unknown fault/condition.
Goodluck!
