Ionic won’t turn on after factory reset

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have had trouble with the heart rate monitor not working for just over a week. Following advise from others on this forum I have tried soft resets and hard factory resets. After the second factory reset my Ionic won’t turn on at all just a black screen. It was charged before this happened. I have tried everything that I have found on this forum and others but nothing works including cleaning the contacts. If there’s any new advice or thoughts let me know. Thanks

@stuart.grattage It's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I understand how you feel in regards the black screen issue that your Ionic has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

Please let me know if your Ionic vibrates when you put it on the charger. In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. Finally, charge your Ionic for 2-3 hours and see if it comes back to life.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I have tried all the steps you recommend, the Ionic doesn't vibrate when plugged in to the charger, I have tested the charger and it is working. I have left it on charge for a few days now, but still nothing

thanks

I’m having the same issue. Fitbit was charged, working fine but it wasn’t updating to the most recent firmware. Tried all the things in all the messages here and did a factory reset via the settings menu as a last resort. The screen went black and now it’s basically a brick. The screen will not light up, it doesn’t vibrate when I attach the charging cable and no combination of button pushing or holding invokes a response. Out of options by the looks of things. Based on the responses here I’m getting the sense this will not end up resolved.
