Ionic won't turn on or take a charge

After trying to left and lower right button to reset, my ionic won’t turn on. I need help. I saw it on Monday go to the logo screen, then go blank and will not turn back on, even after recharging on the cradle.  What’s the next step?

Hi @Kurt_C, welcome to our Fitbit Community. Regarding the black screen issue that your Fitbit Ionic has experienced, I appreciate the time spent trying to get it resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like to know if your Ionic vibrates when you put it on the charger. In the meantime, try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. This article contains steps that you already tried but you can skip them and proceed with the rest. After this, charge your Ionic for 2-3 hours and see if it comes back to life.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Unfortunately, my ionic does not vibrate when placed on charge. None of the help items worked at all. Nothing.

Thanks for your prompt response!!

Did you ever resolve this? Seems to be the same issue I am having.

Yes I did get a response. My ionic is out of warranty and I was given an offer to buy a new product. I don’t think I will. This is the second Fitbit I have had and they only last <2 years. That’s an expensive watch to only last two years. I’m done with Fitbit.

Hi, I've had the same problem multiple times. I let my Ionic sit for an extended period of time and the battery discharges, then when I try to recharge it nothing happens. I tried all the tips here and nothing seemed to help. After leaving the watch plugged in for three days I finally had the brilliant idea to try restarting it without the watch being plugged in. That worked. The watch was fully charged and for whatever reason it wouldn't restart while still connected to a power source. Restarting the watch was done by holding the left button and the lower right button depressed for fifteen seconds. I'm hoping I remember this the next time this happens, but I doubt it. (that's why I'm writing this up)
