Ionic won't turn on

Ok so I posted a few days ago how disappointed I am with the ionic over the blaze, heart rate readings and battery life mainly and not tracking sleep. After numerous attempts at soft shutdowns,  Bluetooth on/off, log out and turn heart rate off/ on. I decided to do a factory shutdown so I could re install. Now I can't turn on...at all. Help!

Hello @Steely70, your participation here in the Community Forums is appreciated.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared, your effort troubleshooting your device before posting over here is also appreciated. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if the heart rate sensors are flashing or is your device completely unresponsive? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to check our help article: Why isn't my battery charging on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Such article includes a restart process which can be really helpful for this situation.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi Ricardo, thanks for the reply. I finally got through to customer
support last night and the assistant was very pleasant but basically asked
if green light was flashing and then to change sockets...and then to clean
the terminal with alcohol which I did. After putting me on hold she said
this was the end of trouble shooting and she would email the outcome. I
recieved an email saying it was out of warranty so nothing could be done.
Kind of disappointed after all the time wasted and as I've been a fitbit
member for 6 years I hoped I could of resolved but never mind. I did
receive a discount code but I'm starting to think Garmin after this!!

I am having problems too - But addressing your own. Have you tried holding all three buttons

down at the same time??   I'm sure you have.... But, hold the buttons down for a greater time up

to a minute  -  you may be lucky to get the blue Fitbit icon come up.  Try it with the charger connected too.

I had this problem at one time and it worked for me. It's got to be at least 1/2 a minute or more for it to work

on a seemingly dead watch.  Good luck

Hi Paulavo, thanks for the post. Yes I've tried the 3 buttons together,
in fact every combination possible for up to 2 minutes a time! I think I've
resigned to the fact it's a non starter now. Frustrating as it's barely
been worn but was purchased a while ago hence being out of warranty. The
ionic does seem to be steeped with issues though. Cheers mate.

I am feeling the same too....... The new 'Sense' appears to be the 'Ionic'
inards in new packaging.
Lots of complaints of a similar nature with that too already.

I get my Ionic working with all functions now, but it will intermittently
cut out with the blue 'Fitbit' logo coming up.
When this happens it looses time until synched with the app'.

There is a You tube video showing how to remove the watch glass and
components. I am going to give this a
try in case there might be a poor connection causing it to cut out, causing
the blue logo to come up to be
needing it to be restarted again. Worth a fiddle before putting it on Ebay
for spares.

Cheers,

Paul.
