Header says it all. It used to work and just stopped. I checked notifications on the Ionic and they are on. I also have a Samsung S9 and the notifications are on for messages and calls on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!!! I've been struggling with this problem and I didn't think to check the Fitbit ionic itself to see if notifications were turned on.

@Baja13 let me check to see if I understand correctly, you are saying that the tracker receives the notifications from the phone needs, but the tracker never vibrates.. in this case I would try a shutdown through the settings/help on the inonic.

Welcome here @Baja13, it's nice to see you around! Thanks for taking the time to review that the settings for notifications are set properly. Have you tried the restart recommended by @Rich_Laue?
Please note that with the new Fitbit OS update 2.1, Notifications are now removed from the Ionic/Versa once you open the conversation in your phone. This is expected behavior and not an issue.
If the issue is still happening after restarting your tracker, my best recommendation would be resetting Notifications through the Fitbit app to also reset the connection between the tracker and the phone.
To reset Notifications:
Your Fitbit device should vibrate or buzz gently to alert you at various times, including if you set a silent alarm or when you hit your step goal. If you set an alarm but it isn't working, first verify whether the alarm was set successfully and then test the vibration motor.
If you hit your step goal and your device didn't vibrate, test the vibration motor.
On your watch, open Alarms. You’ll see your next scheduled alarm (if you set one). Next, test your watch's vibration motor:
I hope this resolves your issue, if there's anything else I can do for you, please feel free to reply.

Maria, I have the iPhone 8 and am having similar issues. I have removed the device and re-added it on my phone after I restarted it. That didn't help. It use to work and I feel like it stopped working with the last device update. It vibrates if I haven't reached my 250 steps in an hour and will vibrate once I reach them. It also vibrates when I set an alarm. It is not vibrating when I get a phone call and it doesn't vibrate when I get a text. If I swipe down it will show the calls and the texts. I use to be able to swipe up (on the main screen on my watch) and at the end I could go into notifications and turn them on. I can't do that. If I go into settings on my watch, and scroll to notifications I only have a choice of receiving calls and notifications during exercise and sleep. Both of those are on. I also have show notification content "on" under device locked.

I have exactly the same issue as foxymama3 describes. I read through this chain and I did everything recommended - forget device, check the tracker that notification ON for every possible option etc. Tracker vibrates when under 250 steps, or reached the goal, also on alarms, but doesn't vibrate when I receive a new txt or phone call. Still, when swipe down, I can see the txt or missed calls.

Hi, same issue for me too.
I have iPhone 6s.
I followed instructions to re-pair Bluetooth and it vibrates for alarms as before, but the most important vibrations for calls and texts does not work.
Very frustrating, please help.
Andrew.

I'm wondering where these instructions where found to repair Bluetooth? Also am curious as to what these instructions are? As for pairing the tracker to the phone, this can not or should not be done by the user.
If the user was able to pair to the phones Bluetooth, this will result in all types of communication errors.

The instructions are near the top of the thread, as posted by the Fitbit person.
Probably the words I used were very clear.

The instructions above say to remove the tracker front the phones Bluetooth list.
The term repair Bluetooth, the term you used is what confused me. The user is not able to Pair the tracker to the phone. They can remove. This is what condom used me.
