I have tried several times to pair my Ipod Touch with my Ionic and I always end up getting the "Connection FAILED" message. Doesn't matter where I am at. My touch is recognizable and the Ionic sees it and tries to pair it but it always fails. Never had this issue with my Blaze. Is this a software issue or am I doing something wrong?

What generation is your iPod touch?

It is 5th Generation Ipod Touch.

Ok well that eliminates the simple.
Have you paired your Ionic with anything else or are you trying to set it up?

It is all set up. I have paired it to my phone.
Ah ok. Is your phone nearby when trying to use the iPod? If so, the Ionic is probably maintaining its connection with your phone. I’d switch off Bluetooth on your phone and try again.

Hello, did you ever get this issue resolved? I'm having similar issues...

No, I never did. After going thru a series of steps that did not work , Fitbit told me they are still developing solutions to resolve the issue. Very disappointed in that a NEW product doesn't have the capability of their older products.

Is there another device that you can sync it to in the meantime?

Likewise. I want to control my music on my iPod but I can't. I was on chat with them two times, received an email saying here's the solution, and that didn't work either. The Ionic will not show under the list of paired devices under Bluetooth settings. They said that it doesn't need to be paired in order to control the music, but I can't get it to work either way - paired or not. =(

I just want to control my music on my iPod from my Ionic. As a dance fitness instructor, it's convenient to be able to control my iPod from my watch rather than having to go back and forth to the deck.

What I ended up doing was transferring my music from my ipod touch to my Ionic (believe it or not that was not a problem), then using the bluetooth function play my music thru wireless earbuds or wireless speakers, which I was able to pair to the Ionic. Works fine. I can control the music from my Ionic.

I've suggested an Ionic improvement after having the same problem. Please consider voting for this.
