Is Ionic compatible with Samsung Galaxy A30 or A50?

I am getting a Fitbit ionic for my birthday and I am upgrading soon. I would like to find out if my preferred device for upgrade (the Samsung Galaxy A30 or A50) will be compatible? It does not show on the compatibility list yet the Samsung galaxy S9 (on the compatibility list) and the A30 as well as A50 has the same bluetooth specs. Can I assume that my fitbit will sync with the A30 or A50? Or is there any other way that I would know for sure if it will be compatible? I do not want to be stuck with a device for 2 years that is not compatible with my fitbit.

A warm welcome to the Community @Anneke98! I'll be glad to help you with your question about the compatibility with Samsung A30 or A50. Thanks for the research that you did before contacting us.

Currently, the Samsung A30 or A50 isn't showing as a compatible device just as you mentioned. Our Fitbit team is always working to add new devices to the list. However, I can't confirm that this will be added or give you a time frame about when this will be.

If you would like to upgrade your mobile device, the best will be to choose a device that's already in the list

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

A warm welcome to the Community @SARMBBA. Great to hear that you're using Charge 2.

I've double check the list of compatible devices and I couldn't find the Samsung Galaxy A30. If your tracker isn't syncing then you can try this troubleshooting, our team is always testing new devices and adding them to the list.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Hi! I have the Fitbit versa and currently have the iPhone 7 Plus. No problems with compatibility there, however I’m wanting to purchase the Samsung A50, will my Versa be compatible with it?

A warm welcome to the Community @Mrs_Marek. Sorry for the delay reply.

It's good to hear that you have a Fitbit Versa! Thanks for asking in the forums.

I was checking the list of compatible devices and the Samsung A50 isn't compatible yet. I can confirm that my team is always testing new devices and adding them to the list but I can't provide you with a timeframe of when this will be added.

There are some users who have been able to sync their watches to the mobile devices that aren't compatible but since they haven't been tested by Fitbit, I can't confirm that this will always work.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Hi,

I have a Fitbit Ionic and Samsung A30 and after playing around with the phone settings to give permissions they work together. Which is a relief as I didn't do the research about compatibility.

How did some of those users sync their watches to mobile devices? I find myself having the same problem after upgrading to Samsumg A30

First I linked the phone with the watch and than I had to find all the permissions relating to what I was happy for the watch and phone to share. These were in both the Fitbit app and the actual phone settings. It took me a couple hours to find the right settings and be happy with the end result.

I don’t know if this helps.
