Hi there,
I currently own a Fitbit charge 2, but I'm considering to buy a Fitbit ionic. I'd like to listen to my spotify playlist while working out or running without having my phone. I just read here: www.support.spotify.com/is/listen_everywhere/smart_watches/fitbit/ that I can download the spotify app for the ionic. Is this already possible? Or will it be a feature in the near future? Also, if I'm not able to listen offline, can I use spotify on the ionic without my phone near me?
I hope to hear from you soon.

@Agdijk A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. I'm glad to hear that you're interested in Fitbit Ionic.
I'll be happy to clarify your question about Spotify on the Fitbit Ionic. Now it's possible to download Spotify on your Ionic and use music control from there without opening the app on your phone. Since this is an option to control your music, you will need that your phone is nearby.
Keep in mind that in order to have it, your Ionic needs to have the latest OS version.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

Are you saying that I cannot use Spotify on the Ionic in offline mode? (downloadinng songs and use it without a phone?)
The use case is to do running and just have the ionic with me but no phone. I want to store the music on the ionic and play it through my bluetooth headsets.
Does that work?

@SunsetRunner Thanks for getting back.
Currently, it's not possible to use Spotify on the Ionic in offline mode. You will need to have your phone with you and in online mode in order to use music control. If you would like to run without your phone, you might want to try this procedure to download your music to your Ionic.
Keep me posted.

Thanks Silvia for the quick reply.
Unfortunately this is not an option as I am not using MP3 or similar files but only streaming services (spotify). You might want to offer the spotify offline feature with makes the watch more attractive to runners.
