Is anyone happy with the Ionic?

Hi there,

I'm thinking of getting an Ionic and was wondering if anyone is actually HAPPY with theirs? I see a lot of horror stories about them dying left right and centre. I've looked at the versa but that would appear to be somewhat fragile. I'm coming from a charge 2 which has given me absolutely no trouble in the 20 months I've had it

any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi @anchorless, welcome to the community.

I've generally been happy with my Ionic (which I've been using for almost 2 years), it does have it's moments and it's not to say others haven't had issues. I also have a Versa which is a nice device, I would actually say the build feel is better than that of the Ionic. Obviously you would not have the onboard GPS with the Versa, but the same could be said of your Charge 2.

You mention you are coming from a Charge 2, have you considered the Charge 3 or is it definitely a “smart watch" that you are after?

thanks man. It's a smart watch I'm after, mainly because of other friends have them and we do weekly/weekend challenges. Chap at work has a charge 3 and it doesn't seem that different/better than the charge 2...

The Ionic is a huge waste of money.  The Charge 2 was decent.

@anchorless Yes that's correct, I would class the Charge 3 as quite a minor update over the Charge 2.

Loved my ionic, very few issues but on the 28 of last it stopped tracking. Ni fix, it was only 15 or 16 months old. They gave me 40% off on a new went with the versa am still waiting. Thinking about changing brands.
