Is it possible to turn off the button shortcut?

How do you turn off the shortcut feature on the Ionic?   It keeps going off multiple times an hour and I don’t want the feature.  It just recently became an issue, which I’m sure has to do with an update.  It is distracting and inconvenient to the point that I want to switch to a different brand.

I totally understand that this button might be distracting if it keeps going off multiple times. Currently, it's not possible to disable it, you're able only to change the feature that the button activates. If you would like that this button could be disabled in the future, post your idea in our Feature Suggestion board, those ideas are reviewed by our team and the status will change based in Fitbit's plans. 

I'm curious to know if the issue you're experiencing is that the button activates by itself or if this is turning your Ionic off, please provide me with more details about what you're experiencing with the button shortcut.

I do also experience the same, and funny enough it was just after the update of the OS. So at least two cases right? I am out of warranty so I can only pray that fitbit will allow us to disable this function one day, otherwise this watch will be useless and it keeps buzzing forever, asking me too assign a short cut.

The problem I run into is it drains my battery on my ionic extremely fast if the shortcut begins and the watch is tracking my activity rather than just in its normal mode!
