Is there a way to check wi-fi connection on watch

I am curious if there a possible way to check or even change Wi-Fi connection on the watch.

 

With recent problems with firmware update,  I would like to know if it is possible to sync the watch via Wi-Fi instead Bluetooth. Or at least verify that it can be connected.

 

This is serious issue with recent update for watch and needs to be fix ASAP.

The WiFi setting screen has not changed and is found under the ionic settings in the app. 

 

As for the WiFi on the ionic .This will turn on when the tracker is charging, this has not changed either. 

 

As for upsetting the firmware, if the phone is connected to WiFi and the ionic is charging the update will be troedtover WiFi first .

 

As for syncing the ionic I do not believe this can happen over WiFi. I would think this would be inconvenient having to remove the tracker then connecting it to the charging cord just to sync .

 

Updating of the individual apps on the ionic will be tempted durringdthe charging period. or may be done manually .
